Using the tool
StemSplitterLab is a free practice tool. You may open audio you have the right to use, separate it, and export a mix or a stem for your own practice. You may not use the tool to infringe someone else’s copyright. The site does not give you a license to any song you did not already have.
You supply the file. The site does not offer a catalog, and it does not claim that a split is a substitute for a licensed backing track, a karaoke master, or sheet music.
No warranty on the music
Separation is imperfect. A stem can contain leakage. Tempo and key can be half-time, double-time, or the relative major of the key you hear. The software is provided as-is, without a warranty that a particular song will split cleanly or that a reading will match a published chart. Practice use is the intended use.
Do not rely on the tool for a commercial master, a forensic transcription, or anything where a wrong mute or a wrong key would matter in public. Export files are produced on your device. You are responsible for what you do with them.
The service itself
The pages and the model file are provided without a promise that they will be available every hour, or that the model host will never change its address. When the model address changes, it changes in the open, by version, rather than by overwriting a file people have already cached.
To the extent the law allows, StemSplitterLab is not liable for lost practice time, a bad split, or a file you deleted from your own browser. If you believe something on the site is unlawful, write to the address on the contact page.
